Chad: an Ibni-Oumar-Mahamat-Saleh library opens its doors in Abéché
The opponent has been missing since February 3, 2008 and his kidnapping in Ndjamena, at a time when the Chadian army had just repelled a rebel offensive at the gates of the capital with the help of France. A place of knowledge in his name is inaugurated in the country's third city on Saturday February 3.

That day in February 2008, soldiers from the Presidential Guard arrested several opponents, subjecting them to ill-treatment. Among them, Ibni Oumar Mahamat Saleh never reappeared. Sixteen years later, those close to him have not lost hope of seeing the truth come to light, and are trying to pay tribute to this respected academic.

We remain convinced that no matter how long the night, dawn always arrives. The fight for justice is a difficult path but with our support, we remain determined to obtain answers and to honor the memory of this great man who dedicated his entire life to truth and democracy
,” he said.
Honor the memory of the father, a respected academic and mathematician by training, through concrete actions. This Sunday, a library in his name opens its doors near the University of Abéché.

It is a library of approximately 5,000
books in the two national languages. It is a relevant address to allow students to absorb knowledge. Ibni, beyond the political aspect, is someone who had given enormously to education. It is a way of modestly honoring his memory.

In total, 5,000 works but one page is still missing: that of the truth about the disappearance of Ibni Oumar Mahamat Saleh.
