China News Service, Beijing, February 3rd. The Beijing Commercial Aerospace Industry High-Quality Development Conference was held on the 3rd in the Beijing Economic and Technological Development Zone (referred to as Beijing Yizhuang). The conference released the "Beijing Rocket Street Common Scientific Research and Production Base Project" (referred to as "Beijing Rocket Street") plan to attract high-quality projects from the entire commercial aerospace industry chain.

Beijing is the birthplace of China's aerospace industry. It has initially formed a large-scale private commercial aerospace innovation industry cluster and cultivated a number of commercial aerospace unicorn companies. Yizhuang, Beijing, has now gathered more than 50 aerospace companies, covering fields such as launch vehicles, satellite development, and satellite applications. The number of private rocket development companies that have been launched accounts for more than 70% of the country's total, and it has achieved many "firsts" in the commercial aerospace field.

According to the announced plan, the total building scale of Beijing Rocket Street will reach 140,000 square meters, with four major functional areas: a common technology platform, a high-end manufacturing center, an innovation research and development center, and a technology interactive exhibition hall. Among them, the common technology platform can provide more than ten tests and shared manufacturing services for commercial aerospace companies; the science and technology interactive exhibition hall will build a simulated aerospace test and launch center to receive rocket launch site data in real time, remotely observe rocket launches, and set up an aerospace technology experience center. It is reported that Beijing Rocket Street will start construction in April this year and is expected to be put into use by the end of 2025.

Reusable launch vehicles are the forefront of the development of the world's aerospace industry and international commercial aerospace competition. In order to better promote the development of reusable rockets and enable China's reusable rockets to take off from Beijing, the Beijing Reusable Rocket Technology Innovation Center (in preparation) was unveiled at the conference. This municipal-level innovation center landed in Yizhuang, Beijing, to promote Breakthroughs in key core technologies.

On that day, Beijing Yizhuang signed a total of 17 projects in four categories: key industrial projects, key investment projects, common platform projects, and strategic cooperation projects. In order to promote the flight launch of rockets, Beijing Yizhuang signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Hainan International Commercial Space Launch Co., Ltd., a commercial launch site in Hainan, and Oriental Spaceport (Shandong) Development Group Co., Ltd., the home port of launch vehicles at sea, to jointly promote cross-regional coordinated development of the industry.
