Trump faces 4 criminal trials involving 91 separate charges (Anatolia)

A court in Washington, DC, announced the postponement of the start date of the trial of former US President Donald Trump, which was scheduled for next March 4. It said that the postponement was the result of unresolved legal issues, and a new date has not yet been set.

Trump (77 years old), who wants to obtain the Republican Party nomination for the presidential elections scheduled for next November, faces four criminal trials, including 91 separate charges.

In the case filed in Washington, Trump was charged at the federal level over his efforts to retroactively reverse the results of the 2020 presidential election.

On January 26, Trump suffered a severe defeat before a jury in Manhattan, New York, after it ordered him to pay compensation worth $83.3 million to a journalist who said he had destroyed her reputation and people’s trust in her by denying that he had raped her nearly three decades ago.

Observers believe that Trump will win the primary elections in the state of Nevada, after winning the party's elections in the states of Iowa and New Hampshire, which makes him the most likely candidate to obtain his party's nomination in the race for the White House.

His most prominent competitor (Ron DeSantis, Governor of Florida) had announced his withdrawal from the Republican Party presidential race and his support for Trump. All that remains of his Republican competitors is Haley, who refuses to withdraw, stressing that she will continue her election campaign in South Carolina and beyond.
