Syrian Ministry of Defense: US airstrikes led to the death of civilians and military personnel

According to the Ministry of Defense, in the area that was subjected to American attacks in the east of the country, the Syrian army is fighting the remnants of the terrorist organization ISIS*.

“This confirms that the United States and its military are involved and allied with the organization and are working hard to revive it as an entity in both Syria and Iraq,” the agency said in a statement.

On the night of February 3, US Central Command (CENTCOM) forces carried out airstrikes on 85 targets in Syria and Iraq. The response to the attack on the Jordan base will continue, President Joe Biden said. The Pentagon also said that the airstrikes were just the beginning of the response.

As stated by the representative of the Commander-in-Chief of the Iraqi Armed Forces, Yahya Abdullah, the US strikes are a violation of sovereignty.
