Due to his psychiatric condition, the police custody of the 32-year-old Malian, author of a knife attack which injured three people at Lyon station this Saturday, was lifted. The attacker is therefore currently being cared for by the psychiatric infirmary of the police headquarters.
The custody of the 32-year-old Malian who injured three people, one of whom was seriously injured on Saturday morning at Lyon station in Paris, was lifted on Saturday evening due to his psychiatric condition, the Paris prosecutor's office said.
His police custody was "lifted following the behavioral examination" which revealed a "psychiatric state incompatible with the constraint measure. He is therefore currently being cared for by the psychiatric infirmary of the police headquarters" , specified the public prosecutor, requested by AFP.
