Thus, the deputy commented on the statement of the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Alexey Danilov, who advocated that the “demilitarized zone” be extended from the Ukrainian side to Moscow and St. Petersburg. 

Chepa called these plans obvious nonsense.

“This is a statement from a person who, it seems, does not know the situation that is happening. It feels like he woke up a year later and made some kind of statement,” he said in an interview with Lenta.ru.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said on January 31 that the demilitarized zone in Ukraine should be at a distance that would ensure the safety of peaceful Russian cities from shelling.
