The vast majority of blockades were therefore lifted on Friday throughout France following the Prime Minister's announcements. But die-hard farmers in the Lyon region continue to block the A43, at the Saint-Quentin-Fallavier tollbooth. Europe 1 went to meet these operators who do not want to leave.

The Lyonnais are putting up resistance. The vast majority of blockades were lifted on Saturday throughout France following Gabriel Attal's announcements. The farmers therefore returned to their farms. This is the case for example in the Lyon region with the end of the blockades on the A6 at Villefranche-sur-Saône, on the A7 at Pierre-Bénite or on the A47 at Chasse-sur-Rhône. But on Friday evening, a blockage remained on the A43, at the Saint-Quentin-Fallavier tollbooth. Europe 1 went to meet its operators who do not want to leave.

These diehards consider that the Prime Minister's announcements are far from being sufficient to respond to the agricultural crisis that France is going through. The operators therefore continue to block the Saint-Quentin-Fallavier toll on the A43 motorway to continue to put pressure on the government. A strategic point, because this road route leads to the ski resorts of Savoie in Isère. A situation which could thwart the plans of Lyonnais wanting to take advantage of the snow this weekend in the resort.

A blockage at least until Monday

Despite injunctions from the FNCA, this blockage should last at least until Monday. The farmers behind the dam are all members of the Confédération Paysanne, an organization that is more on the left. They believe that the measures announced by Gabriel Attal will help the largest farms and not the small farmers who have been forgotten by the Prime Minister. Faced with these latest protesters, the region's prefect does not seem to want to involve the police.
