The

five wayward Vox deputies

who have dynamited the parliamentary group in the Balearic Islands by revolting against the party's national leadership lower their order four days after their spectacular political maneuver.

The group of parliamentarians, led by

Idoia Ribas

, sent a delegation yesterday afternoon to try to smooth things over with one of the purged members of the group,

Gabriel Le Senne

, president of the Parliament. They met to try to find an agreement, and gained time by paralyzing the processes so that the chamber could act against the wayward deputies through an express reform of the regulations.

Today Ribas took the floor and, in a veiled manner, confirmed that his group has lowered the strength of its pulse and has maintained that it is reaching out to Madrid, which in turn has temporarily paralyzed the process of expulsion of the five rebels.

This morning Ribas reiterated his desire to redirect the difficult political situation after the expulsion of Le Senne, although at the moment there is no "approach", and he has constantly questioned the national leadership, hoping that they will formulate a proposal.

This was expressed in an appearance before the media just after registering in Parliament the minutes of the meeting in which the expulsion of Le Senne and

Patricia de las Heras

was approved , a document that, according to the opinion of the Chamber's services, has restricted visibility.

Ribas has claimed not to know the reasons why Le Senne has called off the Table and the Board of Spokespersons that were scheduled for this Friday to hold an extraordinary plenary session with the reform of the regulations proposed by the opposition groups. But, evidently, it is due to the conversations that Le Senne is having with the rebels in search of a possible agreement.

Ribas has stressed that they have their "hand stretched out toward the national leadership" (although he denies having spoken with

Santiago Abascal

or another leader) and has asserted that in the brief meeting between Le Senne and two of the rebels this Thursday "what was "was to reiterate that offer to continue trying to reach an agreement to resolve this situation as soon as possible."
