Shocking pictures of the decomposing bodies of Gaza's martyrs, which were found handcuffed and blindfolded in a school in the northern Gaza Strip, caused a wave of overwhelming anger and resentment on social media platforms against Israel and its ally, the United States.

Al Jazeera had obtained special photos of the recovery of the decomposed bodies of martyrs found inside Hamad School, in one of hundreds of heinous crimes committed by the occupation forces during the current war.

Although the condition of the bodies made it difficult to identify the martyrs, the displaced people inside the school reburied the bodies in the cemetery near the school.

The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs commented on the incident, describing the Israeli practices as “a blatant and gross violation of all relevant international norms and laws,” noting that this cemetery “may be one of a number of other cemeteries that have not yet been discovered.”

Anger and condemnation

In its episode dated (2/1/2024), the “Shabakat” program monitored the great state of discontent that spread through virtual networks, amid condemnation of the crimes of the occupation and the cover that the United States provides to its ally, Israel.

Abdul Rahman Saeed considered the discovery of decomposed bodies in the yard of a school in northern Gaza, bound and thrown on a garbage heap, "evidence that they were executed in cold blood, and also blatant evidence that this enemy does not fear an international court or punishment because he believed in the protection of the United States."

Muhannad appeared extremely sad after the discovery of the mass grave, and merely said, "Oh God, the bodies of people in the streets have decomposed, and the animals that are not decomposed are eating their bodies!", before continuing, "They deprived us of even burial. They deprived us of covering the private parts of our martyrs."

Hala said on her account, “There was no time left in my mind. No one could comprehend the extent of the ugliness and crime... Bodies in the streets, decomposing bodies, no one knew their owners, kidnapped children, hunger and cold, children dying of hunger and cold.”

In turn, Muhammad focused on the catastrophic conditions in the Gaza Strip, and said, "When human bodies - men, women, children, and the elderly - are scattered in the streets, we expect how bad the situation will be in Gaza."

He added, "Momentary killing, not daily killing. Massive killing. The crimes are countless, and the living are no longer able to bury the dead of the Zionist crime."

It is noteworthy that the head of the Palestinian Prisoners' Club, Abdullah Al-Zaghari, spoke to Al Jazeera about the presence of increasing data about detainees from Gaza being subjected to executions as the genocide continues, indicating that the occupation has not provided the Red Cross with any information and is committing illegal violations.

Al-Zaghari stressed that finding the bodies of 30 shackled martyrs was “clear evidence of a Zionist execution against them.”
