Samsung has equipped the Galaxy S24 Ultra and Z Fold5 with a car accident detection feature (Samsung)

Samsung is working on developing the “incident detection” feature to include it in modern Galaxy phones, according to what was reported by the GSM Arena website, which specializes in phone news.

According to available information, Samsung has equipped the “Galaxy S24 Ultra” and “Z Fold5” phones with the “car crash detection” feature, as researcher and Android systems specialist Michel Rahman found in the systems of these devices indications of the presence of a “Car Crash Detect Wakeup” sensor inside. Phone software.

The researcher pointed out that the aforementioned sensor can obtain many data from other electronic sensors in phones, such as the accelerometer and gyroscope, and if it discovers that the car in which the phone owner is present has been in an accident, it sends an alert to specific applications related to it.

It is not yet known whether this feature will work with the “Galaxy S24” and “Galaxy S24+” phones, which Samsung also recently announced.

Such a feature works in the “Pixel” phones launched by Google in the past three years, and in some modern iPhones as well, and when an accident is detected, the application associated with this feature contacts emergency and ambulance services to save the user’s life.
