A one-day riot broke out at an immigration detention facility in Malaysia, and more than 100 Rohingya people, a Muslim minority from Myanmar, escaped. According to the Malaysian Immigration Bureau, at around 9:50 pm local time on the 1st, there was a riot at an immigration detention facility in Perak state in northern Malaysia, and 131 people escaped.
Of those who escaped, 115 were members of Myanmar's Muslim minority Rohingya.

In Malaysia, more than 500 Rohingya escaped from another facility this year.
