Raisi stressed that his country will respond strongly to any tyranny (Anatolia)

Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi said - today, Friday - that his country will not start a war, but will respond forcefully to tyranny and anyone who tries to bully it, as he put it, after Iran announced that it had uncovered spies of the Israeli intelligence service (Mossad) in 28 countries.

Raisi added - in a speech on television - that Iran’s military power in the region does not constitute a threat to any country and has never been so, and he continued that it guarantees security that the countries of the region can rely on and trust, according to his words.

Raisi pointed out that the Americans confirm that they do not intend to enter into a conflict with Iran, while they previously said that the military option is before them when dealing with Iran.

Raisi's statements came after days of speculation about how Washington might respond after the killing of 3 American soldiers last Saturday in an Iranian-made drone attack on their base in Jordan launched by a group that Washington described as allied with Iran.

Mossad spies

In a related development, the Iranian Ministry of Intelligence announced that it had uncovered dozens of spies in 28 countries in Asia, Africa, and Europe linked to the Israeli Mossad.

The ministry added that it identified a number of spies in Tehran and other Iranian provinces and dealt with them, and also monitored Iranian spies residing outside the country, as it put it.

The statement stated that Tehran provided countries that exchange information with Iran with information about foreign spies active within their territories.

Last December, Iranian judicial authorities executed 8 people, including a woman, who said they were convicted of communicating with and serving the Israeli Mossad.
