In addition to achieving growth in imports and exports from traditional markets such as Europe and the United States, Guangzhou continues to expand into emerging markets and achieves good results. Among them, Guangzhou's import and export trade volume with non-traditional trading partners such as Latin America, the Middle East, Africa, Eastern Europe, and Oceania is approximately 313 billion yuan, accounting for nearly 30% of the city's foreign trade volume, a year-on-year increase of 9%.

  The export industry has accelerated its transformation and upgrading, and the "three new things" have released new momentum for foreign trade. In 2023, Guangzhou's foreign trade export commodities will gradually transform from traditional labor-intensive to high-end manufacturing. The vehicle and ship manufacturing industry represented by automobiles will become a new driving force for Guangzhou's export growth. Among them, the export value of automobiles, auto parts, and ships was 12.76 billion yuan, 16.88 billion yuan, and 19.38 billion yuan respectively, a year-on-year increase of 1.9 times, 13%, and 64.3% respectively, and contributed 28.8% to the city's foreign trade export growth. The export trade volume of the "three new items" of foreign trade, including electric passenger vehicles, solar cells, and lithium batteries, was approximately 12.89 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 1.3 times. Among them, new energy vehicles have increased by 4.7 times, and the export of new industries has grown rapidly, bringing strong support to Guangzhou's foreign trade.

  The vitality of foreign trade entities has been effectively released, and private enterprises have firmly occupied the "top spot". In 2023, Guangzhou's private enterprises will continue to grow and develop, showing strong vitality and competitiveness. In 2023, the import and export trade volume will exceed 600 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 6.1%, accounting for more than 50% of the city's foreign trade.
