Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim said on Friday that his country's security services are on the highest level of caution in anticipation of any operations seeking to assassinate Palestinians in Malaysia, stressing that his country will not tolerate any targeting attempt on Malaysian territory.

He stressed - in an interview with Al Jazeera Mubasher - that steps must be taken to stop the killing in Gaza, stressing the need for the position to be unified in this direction, and he said that he assured America that it must not agree to the continuation of killing in the Strip.

He expressed the inability of Arab and Islamic countries to extend aid to the Palestinians and bring aid into Gaza, explaining this by saying, “Because we are weak.”

He praised Egypt's position of rejecting the displacement of Palestinians, stressing that "no one agrees to displacing the Palestinians, and they must remain in their country," noting that he discussed with Egyptian officials ways to bring aid into Gaza through the Rafah crossing.

He linked stopping the escalation in the Middle East region with stopping the aggression against Gaza, noting that "the problem did not start with the Houthis, but rather with the aggression against Gaza, and the aggression must be stopped so that the forms of escalation stop."

He criticized what he called the major powers, saying, “The major powers are not doing what they must with regard to Gaza and only stop on October 7, which is unacceptable,” noting that “there is a growing awareness among the American people about what is happening in Gaza, and we hope that this will change.” That is the official position.”

Ibrahim supported Qatari mediation efforts, welcoming the Qatari role in the ceasefire in Gaza, stressing that the killing in Gaza must stop.

He expressed his desire to visit Gaza as soon as possible when peace comes, noting that "our message to the people of Gaza is that we support them and their right to defend their lands."

He added, "Our relations with the United States are strong, but we do not allow any country to dictate how we deal with another country."
