Commenting on the situation with the EU's allocation of assistance to Kyiv, Peskov noted that the Kremlin is monitoring all information.

“We understand that Kyiv continues to experience problems and that the collective West is also experiencing problems,” said the Russian leader’s press secretary.

He called it obvious that there would be an attempt to shift the financial burden of Washington’s support for the Kyiv regime onto the shoulders of taxpayers in European countries.

Peskov noted that Moscow will monitor the decision-making process.

Earlier, the Financial Times wrote that EU leaders will gather at a summit on February 1 to sort things out with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban over aid to Ukraine.

It is noted that financing of Ukraine in the amount of €50 billion over the next four years cannot be approved without the consent of the Hungarian authorities.
