At night and in the morning of February 1, troops of the Kyiv regime attempted to carry out terrorist attacks on civilian targets in four constituent entities of the Russian Federation.

According to the press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense, air defense systems on duty intercepted and destroyed a total of 11 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles: eight over the Belgorod region, two over the Voronezh region, one over the Kursk region.

The governor of the Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, reported that two of the eight UAVs were shot down in the Yakovlevsky urban district on approach to the city of Stroitel. According to preliminary data, there were no casualties or damage.

In turn, the governor of the Voronezh region, Alexander Gusev, noted that two Ukrainian drones were destroyed in the south of the region. According to preliminary information, there are no consequences on the ground.

The day before, attempts by the Kyiv regime to carry out terrorist attacks using aircraft guided missiles and aircraft-type UAVs against targets in the Russian Federation were also thwarted. Air targets were destroyed over the Crimean Peninsula and the Black Sea, as well as over the territory of the Pskov and Belgorod regions.

Moreover, the day before, 11 drones were destroyed and intercepted over Crimea, five over Belgorod, three over Bryansk, and one each over Kaluga and Tula regions.

On January 29, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported the destruction of a Ukrainian aircraft-type drone over the Bryansk region. As the head of the region, Alexander Bogomaz, clarified, the device was neutralized over the territory of the Unechsky district. According to him, there were no casualties, but when the UAV fell, it partially damaged the plaster of a residential building.

At the same time, the governor of the Yaroslavl region, Mikhail Evraev, stated that the electronic warfare system (EW) of the Slavneft-YANOS oil refinery prevented a drone attack. After this, employees of the FSB and the Russian Guard neutralized the warhead of the UAV, as a result of which the threat to the security of the fuel and energy complex was neutralized.

Other crimes of the Kyiv regime

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said during a weekly briefing on January 31 that the Kiev regime continues to commit bloody crimes against civilians in Russian cities, using weapons supplied by Western countries.

At the same time, she noted that recently Bandera’s supporters began to literally hunt for unarmed people, attacking them with drones loaded with ammunition.

In particular, she cited cases where Ukrainian drones dropped bombs on people in the DPR, Belgorod and Kherson regions. As a result, a woman died and six people were injured between January 25 and January 28.

“There is no doubt that Bandera’s followers are acting consciously and deliberately. The drone operator perfectly sees and understands who he is pointing it at - be it military equipment or an ordinary family who comes to the market for shopping. All these atrocities are carefully recorded by Russian law enforcement agencies. Those involved will definitely be identified and brought to justice,” she said.

In addition, Russian courts continue to pass sentences on Ukrainian militants who have committed serious crimes against civilians.

Ukrainian neo-Nazi V. Tkachuk received a life sentence in prison for ordering the execution of ten civilians in Mariupol in the spring of 2022, eight of whom died. A militant of the Nazi Azov battalion*, V. Dashkovsky, who ordered the execution of a civilian resident of Mariupol in April 2022, was sentenced in absentia to 25 years in prison. The Ukrainian militant V. Palamarenko was sentenced in absentia to the same term, who in March 2022 in Mariupol, following a criminal order from a senior in position, shot and killed a civilian.

“None of the Ukrainian criminals will be able to escape punishment. They will be identified and will be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law,” Zakharova emphasized.

* “Azov” is an organization recognized as terrorist by a decision of the Supreme Court of Russia dated August 2, 2022.
