International newspapers said that Israel has begun to lose its war on more than one side and that it must accept the establishment of an independent Palestinian state, noting that this matter cannot be separated from reaching an agreement with Iran regarding its nuclear program.

Writer Thomas Friedman said - in his article in the New York Times - that Israel is now losing on several fronts, noting that it lost the narrative war on Gaza and stood before the International Court of Justice.

He added, "It is also losing the ability to maintain its security, and is losing on the regional stability front, as it has become a target for the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), Hezbollah, the Ansar Allah group (Houthis) in Yemen, and the Shiite militias in Iraq."

The writer stressed that Israel "cannot win the Arab allies or the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) to victory in the war because it refuses to adopt any initiative to sponsor a legitimate and credible Palestinian partner."

The two-state solution and the nuclear agreement

On The Hill website, an article called on Democrats in the United States to press for the establishment of a Palestinian state and a nuclear agreement with Iran.

The article pointed out the need for reaching a new nuclear agreement with Iran to be accompanied by firm American action regarding the negotiations that lead to the establishment of a Palestinian state, “because one does not work without the other.”

As for the Israeli "Haaretz", it said in its editorial that Israel must join America and Britain in saying: Yes to the Palestinian state, in light of the joining of more countries supporting this approach.

The newspaper added that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his extremist government "failed to comprehend this political awakening," adding, "Washington and London seem to realize that it is impossible to return to diplomatic procrastination regarding the Israeli-Palestinian conflict."

In Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper, writer Orly Azoulay said that Netanyahu is resorting to procrastination and stalling for time, hoping that Donald Trump will return to the presidency of America, which thus represents the key to his political survival.

The writer believes that Trump enjoys admiration for Israel because he moved the American embassy to Jerusalem, but it is a step that has proven to be hollow, according to him.

In Foreign Affairs magazine, an article said that the Middle East is facing a difficult moment due to the horrific bloodshed in Gaza, and may slide into more crises.

The article pointed out that only the major countries in the Middle East are capable of reforming and formulating a regional system for the region, and building a different future, because American military and diplomatic activity did not instill confidence, as he put it.
