The Lebanese Hezbollah announced the targeting of what it said were "espionage equipment" at the Israeli radar site in the occupied Shebaa Farms, confirming that a direct hit had been achieved. On the other hand, Israeli artillery targeted the vicinity of several towns in southern Lebanon.

Hezbollah announced - yesterday, Wednesday - that its fighters attacked 7 Israeli sites, and said that it targeted the “Jal Laalam” site with a “Falaq 1” missile, and bombed a site for Israeli soldiers in the Metulla settlement, in Al-Tihat Hill, and in the vicinity of the Mitat barracks.

The party added that it bombed the Al-Manara settlement, and targeted a Merkava tank at the Bayad Blida site.

For his part, Al Jazeera's correspondent confirmed that two missiles were fired from southern Lebanon towards an Israeli site in the Metula settlement in the Galilee finger on the border with Israel, and that sirens sounded in the area.

500 houses

In the same context, the Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth reported that more than 500 homes and buildings in the Upper Galilee have been damaged by Hezbollah fire since the outbreak of the war.

The newspaper indicated that the towns of Metulla, Shalomi, and Manara were the most damaged and exposed to Hezbollah strikes.

The newspaper also pointed out a steady increase in the party’s use of heavy Burkan and Falaq 1 missiles.

The newspaper quoted the head of the Shlomi Town Council as saying that the fall of Burkan rockets on the town has become more frequent, and that it has become in real danger.

It is noteworthy that the "Falaq 1" missile is 240 mm caliber, has a range of up to 10.5 kilometers, and carries high-explosive warheads without fragments.

As for the “Burkan 2” missiles, which Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah announced last November would be brought to the battlefield, they can carry warheads weighing between 300 and 500 kilograms of explosives.
