RIA Novosti reports this.

“If 2023 was a historic year when we took the very important decision to open accession negotiations to the European Union, then 2024 will be the year when we will have to begin this very important time-consuming process of negotiations and preparations for accession... In February the assessment process will begin compliance of Moldovan legislation with EU standards,” Grosu said at a parliamentary meeting.

According to the publication jurnal.md, he also added that the parliament will begin preparations for initiating a referendum on joining the EU at the next session.

“Moldova will answer once and for all which part of the world it wants to be part of,” Grosu said.

He added that “it is historically proven that we are part of the European family.”
