The newspaper, citing the commander of the provincial police of the island of Sinlet Sukhum, writes that law enforcement officials have identified four suspects in the abduction of Russians, who have already been interrogated. They turned out to be Russian citizens.
According to the publication, the couple was kidnapped on Wednesday, January 31. They were put into a black Hyundai van and taken away in an unknown direction. After this, the abductees were forced to transfer cryptocurrency worth about 30 million Thai baht ($846.8 thousand) to the accounts of the attackers.
They were later released, after which the spouses contacted the police.
