According to figures from the very official American Election Commission, Trump's PACs have paid nearly $50 million in 2023 alone to cover his legal fees. PACs are these gigantic political structures responsible for collecting campaign donations in the United States. To fill their coffers, Trump can count on the infallible adoration of his supporters.

After his defeat in 2020, his challenge to the results allowed him to raise millions of dollars and last year donations literally exploded after each of his indictments. In total, 105 million were raised.

,” quipped the spokesperson for one of his former rivals a few months ago. It is true that these millions were mainly raised from small donors.
