This was stated by the chairman of the court, Joan Donoghue.

As Donohue announced, the court found violations on the part of Russia in the organization of school education in the Ukrainian language in Crimea after 2014.

“The court rejects all other claims of Ukraine under the International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination in Crimea,” TASS quotes her.

Previously, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Kyiv would have started the massacre in Crimea if Russia had not annexed the peninsula after the coup in Ukraine in 2014.

Putin noted that if Ukraine had treated Russian people, their language and culture normally, then Russia would not have returned the peninsula to its fold.

According to the president, in the current situation, Russia had to protect people from “this Nazi scum.”

Crimea became a Russian region after a referendum took place there in March 2014: the majority of residents were in favor of reunification with Russia. The Kremlin has repeatedly emphasized that Crimea is an integral part of Russia and claims to Russian territory will receive a proper response.
