The Civil Guard is investigating the discovery of the body of a man of about 54 years old last week in Monte Abantos, located in San Lorenzo de El Escorial (Madrid). According to the first hypotheses,

the body had been dead for about seven months.

Along with the remains of the body,

the ID of a person who has been missing in Collado Villalba since last July was found.

A spokeswoman for the Madrid Civil Guard Command confirmed that they are waiting for DNA tests to confirm that the body corresponds to that man.

It was a man who was walking with his dog who found the human remains on a path on Mount Abantos. He notified the Civil Guard who

immediately surrounded the area and began the first visual inspection.

The lifeless body was transferred to the Institute of Legal Medicine of Valdebebas where an autopsy was performed. Due to the state of the body, remains have been sent to Anthropology and the National Institute of Toxicology to determine the cause of death. In principle,

everything indicates that it was an accidental death.
