Francisca Paz Carvajal

, better known as

Pancha Sky

, is a Chilean content creator whose natural habitat is on Twitch, Discord and YouTube. She founded the

Literary Tavern

with the aim of creating a large digital role-playing table and it has become a place that grows thanks to her creativity, but also to the ideas of a community that contributes a lot. She confesses to being a lover of cinema, video games and literature and, in addition, she has training in philosophy. And all this has led her to build a great point of union with her followers.

Belonging to a community seems as gratifying to me as, if not more, than living off the virus. Finding your place, finding that space, is more comforting"

Pancha Sky

She has participated in

Mejor Conectados

, the Telefónica initiative, and in her speech she explained that, for her,

originality is the basis for building from difference

: "We must stand out for the good things we do, for the community we are generating ", for the friendships we make along the way, for the milestones we achieve together... This is what really speaks about you, your career. Around all those things we build a much more beautiful identity."

And he firmly believes that

being different is a positive point

. He argues that, although it is more difficult for us to find our place or discover what we can offer, once we achieve it we can feel

identified and safe

to transmit our ideas, while creating

a community with high value

. "The key word is niche. The Internet is huge and there are a lot of things happening at the same time. So you have the responsibility to look for what things you like, what we feel are healthy and nourish us positively," he explains.

But he recognizes, of course, that

being different in a world that rewards what is normative is very complicated

, which is why he understands that there are those who settle for what is repeated and what the majority agrees with.

Still, he encourages being yourself

: "It's not about being different, but about going boldly out into the world and saying,

This is me. Are you like me? Do you agree?

And in that response, finding those people who make sense."

This is something that, for her, is equally valid in any job or aspect of life. And it also has a lot to do with originality, something that he defends can never be sacrificed to achieve virality: "

Originality sacrificed for virality is one of the diseases that we have to heal as content creators

. Belonging to a community seems both or more rewarding than living off the viral. Finding your place, finding that space, is more comforting." And she also points out

the importance of being tolerant on the Internet

. She simply suggests that if you don't like something, you don't have to reject it. It's just not for you... so don't consume it!

autism in adults

Often, when we talk about

autism

, we limit ourselves to thinking about children; but those children will eventually be adults and society is not as familiar with this situation as it should be. "

We don't heal when we grow up

," says Pancha Sky. She herself is a neurodivergent person and insists on

the importance of making the collective visible

, since, she explains, there is a caricature in the media that sometimes shows a rather distorted and unrealistic reality.

The creator explains that adults with autism focus more internally than externally, have difficulties socializing and are highly hypersensitive to the world around them.

Their communication, their socialization and their expression are very different

: "It is a challenge to be able to communicate and make understand what we are feeling." They may feel uncomfortable in certain conversations or exhausted when they have been around people for a long time. It is also difficult for many adults with autism to maintain eye contact for a long time, for example. Pancha Sky tries to make society see and understand these circumstances, something that also helps it connect with an audience that has the same intention.

Better Connected

Better Connected is a

Telefónica

initiative

that aims

to make talent visible

and inspire people to

establish human connections

through which they feel capable of achieving everything they set their minds to. "We want to make our world more human by connecting people's lives," says

José María Álvarez-Pallete, president of Telefónica

. The company believes in a world that moves thanks to talent and, therefore, they support it as they know best: by connecting it. Thus, Mejor Conectados becomes a place to be inspired, meet, connect and achieve incredible things.

On the platform we find two sections. The first is '

Inspírate

' and in it we can find out

what connections made possible the great achievements

of Rafa Nadal, the chef Ferrán Adrià, the Paralympic swimmer Teresa Perales, the triathlete Javier Gómez Noya or the former basketball player Nacho Azofra. Stories are also told such as that of the soccer player Keita Baldé, who contributed to improving the employment situation of day laborers during the pandemic; or De Discamino, an association that helps people with disabilities achieve their dream of walking the Camino de Santiago; or how the joint work and trust of the K4 team led them to victory.

The second section is '

Learn

' and includes a series of

small master classes from great figures

such as Molo Cebrián, Marta Gilart, Gemita, Iñaki Gabilondo, Toni Nadal, María Zabala, Rafa Nadal or Amaya Valdemoro, among many others. In them they offer, in first person,

advice and reflections that can serve as inspiration and learning

to establish better relationships in our daily lives. With all this, the platform shows that, indeed,

when we connect, we are capable of doing incredible things

.
