“Persons well-known in Russia and in our city - we visit many of them, they are all in ordinary, adequate conditions, with them in the cells there are ordinary people whom no one knows,” RIA Novosti quotes her.

According to Potyaeva, blogger Elena Blinovskaya has not yet been visited - the conditions in which she is located remain to be checked.

The Ombudsman noted that several years ago the topic of VIP cells in pre-trial detention centers was widely discussed in society.

“Today, in accordance with the law, everyone is housed in the cells that are intended for their stay; they are, in principle, all the same,” Potyaeva added.

On January 22, the Zamoskvoretsky Court of Moscow sent Blinovskaya, who had previously been under house arrest, to a pre-trial detention center. The reason for this was a petition from the investigation, which announced repeated violations of the conditions of execution of the preventive measure.
