“The International Court did not follow Kyiv’s lead and fundamentally refused to recognize Russia as an “aggressor state,” the department reports on its website.

The Russian Foreign Ministry also stated that the court rejected Ukraine’s insinuations that the DPR and LPR are allegedly “terrorist organizations.”

It is noted that these conclusions are of particular importance given the fact that the Ukrainian side hoped to support its demands for the transfer of “Russian assets stolen in the West” with the court verdict.

Previously, the International Court of Justice rejected most of Ukraine's claims against Russia under the International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination in Crimea.
