For several weeks, anger has been growing in the agricultural world. The government is most often singled out as being primarily responsible for this anger. However, according to the CSA survey, for Europe 1, CNews and "Le Journal du Dimanche", 39% of French people believe that Europe is mainly responsible for the farmers' crisis.

Is the government primarily responsible for the situation our farmers find themselves in? This Monday, they expected new measures during Gabriel Attal's general policy speech to the deputies. A speech which did not convince and which on the contrary re-motivated the agricultural world to continue the mobilization. But according to a CSA poll for Europe 1, CNews and

Le Journal du Dimanche

, the French do not designate the government as primarily responsible for the agricultural crisis.

Europe, primarily responsible for the crisis

Thus, 39% of French people point the finger at the European Union as being mainly responsible for the crisis in the agricultural world. On the points of blockage, the farmers themselves designate it as being too restrictive, in particular because of the measures it puts in place to preserve the environment.

32% of respondents believe that large distribution brands are responsible for the farmers' crisis. Companies which promised to fight inflation and which today are targeted during raids by farmers who accuse them of too low remuneration. While for 29% of those questioned, the government is the main responsible, and only 6% blame the farmers.

When we look in detail at the age groups, the figures are generally identical. Small particularities, 45% of 50 to 64 year olds designate the European Union as primarily responsible for the anger of farmers (compared to 31 for the big brands and 19 for the government), while 41% of 18 to 24 year olds place the big brands as the main culprit. 35% of 25 to 34 year olds point to the government.

There are disparities in results based on political proximity. For right-wing supporters (all parties combined), 51% of respondents place Europe as responsible. Supporters of the left (36%) and the center (47) mainly point to the big brands.
