From the fate of Joan of Arc in the 15th century to the film "The Exorcist" for example, the question of spirituality and the existence of an invisible world has always been at the center of many questions. Between demonic possession and mystical revelations, Europe 1 Studio invites you to listen to 3 intriguing testimonies from the “Mysteries & Unexplained” podcast.

PODCAST

Like the scenarios imagined for certain horror films, are there entities that wish us harm? According to Michel Chiron, author of “I was possessed: How I was freed from the grip of the devil”, this is obvious. But faced with the invisible, other interpretations are possible. For Laurence de Bourbon Parme for example, the author of “I, Mariamé – Gospel of the incarnate love of Mary Magdalene”, shares her unique experience: she has heard divine voices since childhood. As for Jean-Michel Debroise, he chose to tell the story of the mystic Maria Valtorta, who claimed to have visions of Christ. Three different perspectives on mystical subjects to listen to on podcast now.

“It’s the devil speaking to you…”

Michel Chiron, guest of the “Mysteries & Unexplained” podcast, tells the story of his own possession. For this previously uneventful educator in a medical-educational institute in Cher, it was the bad experience of a spiritualism session which would have allowed "entities" to enter into him and speak to him constantly, at n no matter what time. "It came from inside, they were words inside me that weren't me. But I heard them. They told me 'it's the devil talking to you,'" he explains.

According to Michel Chiron, these voices took great pleasure in showing the power and influence they could exercise over him: “I felt tingling on my head, everywhere, everywhere, everywhere. It was on my face. And my tongue started hanging out, coming out of my mouth. I was stunned. It hung out like you see in exorcisms. It lasted 32 minutes anyway."

It was only 9 months later that Michel Chiron, initially not inclined to spirituality, decided to contact an exorcist. Since then, he explains that he has returned to the paths of spirituality.

She speaks with Jesus.

If invisible evil can exist, then so can good? In any case, this is what Laurence de Bourbon Parme, guest of the “Mystères & Unexplainés” podcast, tells us. She recounts how, since childhood, she would hear voices, later identified as those of major spiritual figures such as Jesus and Mary Magdalene. Deliberately provocative, the author claims that she “talks with them 24 hours a day”. For her, believing is therefore obvious, a means of guiding her towards the inner light.

This is how she began to write down what she felt. Writing would have come to him automatically, following the advice of an astrologer who would have said to him: "Listen Laurence, there you are going to lose your temper. You absolutely have to take a pencil notebook and write everything down. that is happening".

Laurence de Bourbon Parme then says: "Three quarters of an hour later, I hear the door closing. It's my son coming home from class. I am completely taken aback. I realize that there is has black writing paper. My son comes and says to me 'mom, you look very tired'. I look and see that I have 40 pages of writing." The episode also addresses themes such as the balance between femininity and masculinity, the importance of joy, and gives the keys so that everyone can access their own inner light.

The visions of Maria Valtorta.

For this episode, the floor is given to François-Michel Debroise, specialist in Maria Valtorta. This Italian woman who lived in the 20th century, who claimed to receive visions from Christ, transcribed in notebooks the visions she said she received. “For five years, uninterrupted, Maria Valtorta will have visions and dictations,” says François-Michel Debroise.

Certain passages from the life of Christ are published under the title "The Gospel as Revealed to Me." François-Michel Debroise explores in particular how these visions were received by the Church. Certain points in Maria Valtorta's biography are troubling, for example the way in which her existence would be intimately linked to Christ.

On this subject, the author questions the link between Valtorta's illness, forcing him to lead a bedridden life, and his proximity to his mystical visions. “That’s the price to pay, right? That is to say, all these people have in common that they loved Christ so much that they wanted to share his destiny,” he explains. This character, along with many others, is one of those who maintained a special relationship with the mystic throughout their lives.
