Gabriel Attal's general policy speech will not have succeeded in calming the anger of farmers. On the A10, farmers are more determined than ever to continue their journey towards Paris to “make themselves heard”. “We will do what is necessary if necessary,” warns a spokesperson for the FDSEA.

The noose is tightening around Paris, despite Gabriel Attal's announcements this Tuesday. During his general policy speech to deputies, the Prime Minister promised that the government would meet the demands of farmers, without any ambiguity. But, on the blockages, the new head of government has not convinced.

“There are no concrete measures”

As a result, the farmers who are currently blocking the A10 have lifted the blockade to move towards the N118 and maintain a little more pressure on the capital. But they were stopped in their movement by the police. Here, on the A10, 120 tractors parked one behind the other on the highway. Around fifty farmers spent the night here and some are warming up around a brazier with coffee in hand. And their anger still roars.

“The general policy discourse is a trajectory, so there are no concrete measures in it,” judges Pierre Bot, spokesperson for the FDSEA Ile-de-France. "So we're going

gradually approach Paris because we have the impression that Gabriel Attal does not hear us", he continues at the microphone of Europe 1.

“We will do what is necessary if necessary”

"We are a little too far away for him. So, we are going to approach gradually until he hears us. Certainly, in front of us, there are armored vehicles which are located one or two kilometers in front of us. But we have tractors at the head of the convoy which are capable of moving these armored vehicles. So, we will do what is necessary if necessary,” adds the spokesperson.

And while the blockage on the A10 attempts to approach the capital, other blockades continue on the main roads in the Paris region, notably on the A4, A6 and even the A13. For motorists, a return to normal should not take place before the end of the week.
