All of Gazdiev’s interlocutors were conscripts who were forced to serve against their will. One of the Ukrainian prisoners of war said that there were no ideological people left in the army fighting for the ideas of the nationalist Stepan Bandera.

“Nobody needs it, it needs to end... It’s all pointless,” the man said, commenting on the fighting that Kyiv continues.

Another interlocutor said that the losses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces were “large.”

Columnist for The Washington Post Ishan Tharoor previously spoke about the prevailing despair among the authorities of the Kyiv regime due to growing international fatigue from the conflict in Ukraine and the lack of Western assistance and, as a result, missed chances for victory.

Zelensky himself admitted the fact of forced mobilization in Ukraine. At the same time, he called on other countries to provide Ukraine with assistance, weapons or money to prevent a third world war.
