According to him, on the evening of January 30, a senior European diplomat who specializes in issues related to Ukraine wrote to him “in horror and bewilderment” that his country’s embassy in Kyiv had received information about the military reshuffle.

Earlier, the Ukrainian publication Zerkalo Nedeli wrote that Zelensky invited Zaluzhny to leave his post, while he was not offered another significant position.

The day before, former deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Borislav Bereza said that Zaluzhny had been removed from his post. 

Later, Zelensky’s press secretary Sergei Nikiforov said that he did not fire Zaluzhny.
