Ukraine announced on Tuesday that Russia launched 35 drones and two missiles at civilian and military infrastructure near the front line and other Ukrainian regions, while Russia announced that at least 3 people were killed and 3 others were injured yesterday, Monday, in a Ukrainian strike on Donetsk.

The Ukrainian Air Force stated on the Telegram application that Ukrainian air defense systems destroyed 15 out of 35 drones. The fate of the drones that were not destroyed or the two missiles that the Air Force said were fired by Russia from surface-to-air missile systems is not yet clear.

On the other hand, Denis Pushilin, the Moscow-appointed President of the Donetsk Republic, announced that at least 3 people were killed and 3 others were injured yesterday, Monday, in a Ukrainian strike on Donetsk, the largest city in the Donbass region under Russian control.

Pushilin explained on the Telegram platform that “preliminary data indicate that 3 people were killed as a result of the bombing launched by the enemy on the Kalininsky district in Donetsk with Grad rocket launchers.”

The official said that "three other civilians" suffered "minor injuries" in this attack, which "caused damage to at least two residential buildings and three civilian infrastructure."

In a video posted by a Russian television journalist on social media, 3 bodies can be seen on the ground near charred cars.

The city of Donetsk is about 20 kilometers from the front line, and has been under the control of pro-Russian separatists led by Moscow since 2014, and since then it has been bombed regularly by the Ukrainian army.

On January 21, a strike attributed by Moscow to Ukraine left 27 dead and at least 25 wounded, in one of the heaviest toll in this city since February 2022.

In Russian territory, a woman was injured yesterday, Monday, in Mokraya Orlovka, near the border, as a result of Ukrainian shells that damaged several homes, according to what was reported on Telegram by the governor of the Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov.
