Prime Minister Kishida is preparing for the "Japan-Ukraine Economic Reconstruction Promotion Conference" to be held in Tokyo in February, calling it an important opportunity to demonstrate Japan's contributions to the international community. We have instructed related ministries and agencies to take all possible precautions.

In order to provide strong support to Ukraine, where Russia continues to invade, the Japanese government plans to invite local government officials to Tokyo on February 19th for the Japan-Ukraine Economic Revitalization Promotion Conference. On the 30th, a preparatory meeting was held by relevant ministries and agencies at the Prime Minister's Office.



Prime Minister Kishida said, ``The conference is an important opportunity to once again strongly demonstrate Japan's contribution to the international community.The need for reconstruction in Ukraine is enormous, and in addition to Japan's experience in post-war reconstruction and earthquake recovery, I have high expectations for the results and findings."



He then stated, ``It is important for the public and private sectors to come together and provide support from all over Japan,'' and instructed them to make every effort to prepare for success while cooperating with businesses and economic organizations.



Furthermore, at the meeting, they confirmed that it is necessary to make more people aware of the international significance of Japan's support for Ukraine, and that they will strengthen awareness and public relations activities.
