Among their many demands, French farmers are sounding the alarm about the future of the sector. In the context of the blockage which has lasted for around ten days, Pascal Praud collected the testimony of Matthieu, a farmer specializing in cereals in Aisne, in the show
Pascal Praud et vous
. Its sector "is undergoing an overtransposition of rules which is affecting us dramatically. We are in competition, we are experiencing fiscal, social and environmental dumping that is not easy to curb (...) The issue is food sovereignty. We have had deindustrialization, and we fear a 'deagriculturization'", he warns on Europe 1.
