Military expert Major General Fayez Al-Duwairi said that the northern part of the Gaza Strip is currently witnessing fierce battles despite the decline in the size of the Israeli forces present there, noting that the occupation army changed its method of attack in Khan Yunis, south of the Strip.

Al-Duwairi explained during his daily analysis on Al-Jazeera that Street 10, north of the Gaza Strip, witnesses daily fire dams, due to the occupation forces’ impediment in entering Tal al-Hawa and al-Zaytoun.

He pointed out that the occupation army made many changes to the operation, keeping 3 brigades and a battalion in the north, but not all of them are involved in the fighting, and they are constantly moving between regions.

On Street 10 in particular, the occupation forces prevent civilians from returning to their homes, while clashes take place without resolution from both sides in the center of the Strip.

In Khan Yunis (south), there were 8 brigades (two in the west and 6 in the east) two weeks ago, and 3 brigades were withdrawn after the main effort to besiege the city faltered, according to Al-Duwairi.

This stumble prompted the occupation army to change its plan by pushing a brigade from the fence area to the Qarara area, and from there to the depth of Khan Yunis. This operation achieved results, in Al-Duwairi’s opinion.

Currently, Al-Duwairi adds, there are 3 brigades attacking Khan Yunis from 3 sides, in addition to a small force that entered from the “Politics” area.
