The farmers' protest movement entered a more offensive phase on Monday, with the desire to besiege Paris. According to Louis de Raguenel, head of Europe 1's political service and guest on the show "Pascal Praud et vous", every day from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., the Ministry of the Interior is worried about the continuation of the blockages. The Interior Ministry fears the continuation of the farmers' protest movement. This is what internal notes that Europe 1 was able to consult seem to show. Louis de Raguenel, head of Europe 1's political service, came to the studio of the show

to detail "the change of tone" and the fears of Place Beauvau. “At the Ministry of the Interior, we are worried,” he emphasizes on Europe 1.

The agricultural protest continues with "the siege of Paris" where thousands of farmers continue to converge towards the Ile-de-France blockade points. And according to an intelligence note, the demonstrators must continue these blockages "at least five days", whatever the new measures announced by Prime Minister Gabriel Attal this Tuesday. The authorities fear a hardening of the movement.

Blockages in Ile-de-France which grow as the hours pass: this is the scenario that the authorities feared with new convoys which continue to converge towards Ile-de-France like that coming from Dordogne along two kilometers. And the roadblocks are not ready to be lifted. According to an intelligence note that Europe 1 obtained, the blockages must last "at least five days", i.e. until Saturday morning.

Tripling of the number of farmers mobilized

After a weekend of calm, the agricultural protest is resuming with a vengeance, taking the authorities by surprise who fear an extension and hardening of the movement. According to an intelligence note that Europe obtained, the number of farmers participating in actions even tripled on Monday alone, going from 3,000 demonstrators recorded at midday to 9,000 at the end of the day.

Farmers are therefore showing their determination and intend to maintain their movement over time if Prime Minister Gabriel Attal's new measures, which are to be announced this Tuesday, are not sufficient in the eyes of farmers. Farmers will also closely scrutinize the meeting planned in Brussels this Thursday on the subject of the CAP.

Organized farmers

Farmers, determined to be heard, organized themselves to hold out the blockages over time. And to do this, the protesters coming from distant departments benefit from logistical assistance from the Ile-de-France demonstrators. Rotations between farmers are also carried out at night to monitor the dams.

In addition to these blocking points in Ile-de-France, the authorities are also concerned about mobilizations elsewhere in France where “punch actions” continue to take place. In Toulouse, a gathering on the Envol roundabout has been disrupting access to Toulouse-Blagnac airport since Tuesday morning. The FNSEA, the majority union in the agricultural world, is calling for a blockade of Lyon from Wednesday. According to information from Europe 1, a reflection around a mass demonstration is also being studied between the different unions. The mobilization of farmers therefore shows no sign of slowing down for the moment.
