The mobilization of farmers continues around Paris. At least eight highways around the capital are blocked by these operators who want the government to take greater measures to deal with their discomfort. On the A1, the determination remains intact despite a first night in the cold.

Paris is still surrounded this Tuesday morning. At least eight highways that connect the capital to the rest of the country have been blocked by farmers since Monday. Among them: the A1, the busiest motorway in Europe. Between Roissy and Senlis, around a hundred farmers spent their first night there. But a few hours before the government's new announcements, the latter do not hide their determination to continue the movement until their demands are heard.

So, on the blockade of the northern highway, the demonstrators huddle together a little to keep warm. The thermometer only showed 6 degrees this Tuesday morning. Some slept in a livestock trailer fitted out with hay to insulate from the cold. And if they all wake up a little exhausted, they are all eagerly awaiting the government's announcements.

Respect for the law and mirror rules

“The State must not make measures, particularly in relation to the Egalim law. It just has to be applied”, insists Jean Lefebvre, president of the FDSEA of Oise, at the microphone of Europe 1. Then, imports from Ukraine must be directed towards the outside

since they do not correspond at all to our standards and production conditions. Finally, imports of all agricultural products must respect our production standards and our social conditions,” he concludes.

The list is well defined and the A1 roadblock is still planned all day. But here, farmers do not rule out the possibility of moving closer to Paris if the announcements do not suit them.
