“On January 8 of this year, in the village of Goryachevodsky, a woman gave birth to a live male child on the territory of a private household and threw it into a cesspool. After that, she left for another locality,” the message says.
On January 27, the woman’s partner found the baby’s body and notified law enforcement. The investigation is establishing the circumstances of the incident.
The Investigative Committee opened a criminal case under Art. 106 of the Criminal Code of Russia (“Murder of a newborn child by a mother”).
Earlier it was reported that in the Nizhny Novgorod region a mother was arrested for hitting her daughter’s head on the floor.
