The president of the FNSEA, Arnaud Rousseau, was the guest of La Grande interview Europe 1-CNews. At the microphone of Sonia Mabrouk, the farmer returned to the desire of some of his colleagues to block the Rungis market. “Our objective is not to starve the French, it is to feed them,” he says.

On the way to Rungis. This Monday, several dozen tractors leaving Agen took to the road, heading towards the Rungis market, with one objective in mind: to block the food heart of Île-de-France. Despite Gabriel Attal's first announcements last week, farmers continue to express their fed up, faced with ever lower incomes and ever more restrictive standards.

Blockages continue in France, particularly around Paris where no less than eight blockades have been erected by farmers on several motorways, such as the A4, the A6 and the A1. In front of the gates of the Rungis market, a large police force has been put in place to prevent the actions of the operators.

Invited this Tuesday morning, the president of the FNSEA does not support the idea of blocking the largest market in the country. “You know, I am a farmer in Île-de-France, so I know this region well and I know Rungis and the people who work there well. In particular a certain number of my colleagues who go to deliver their products every morning,” explains he said into Sonia Mabrouk's microphone.
