According to the newspaper, the drone struck the base's living quarters, and personnel were injured in the form of cuts and bruises, as well as traumatic brain injuries. Eight people were evacuated from Jordan for “better care, but their condition is stable,” the newspaper notes.
The attack killed three U.S. military personnel, and at least 34 people were assessed for possible traumatic brain injury. US President Joe Biden said Iranian-backed militant groups in Syria and Iraq were responsible for the attack.
Iran, for its part, said it had nothing to do with the strike.
