The martyrdom of journalist Iyad Al-Rawag and a number of his family members (social networking sites)

“May God’s peace, mercy, and blessings be upon you. My wife was forced to travel with my injured son, and she was forced to leave her infant child with me in Gaza. It seems that the treatment trip will last more than two months. Therefore, I am looking for someone to accompany the injured who can take my infant son with him from Gaza and deliver him to his mother in Sinai.” .

This was the last post written by journalist Iyad Al-Rawag on his Facebook page a few weeks ago, in which he appealed to anyone leaving Gaza to deliver his infant son to his wife in Egypt, due to the child not stopping crying and the lack of milk for children in Gaza.

But the Israeli occupation did not give Iyad time to deliver the infant to his mother, as it bombed his house in the Nuseirat camp in the central Gaza Strip, killing him, the infant, and a number of his family members.

His wife published a post on his Facebook account in which she mourned her husband and four of their children: “Iyad Al-Rawagh, Abu Louay, a broadcaster in Sawt Al-Aqsa, and my four children, Louay, Nada, and Yazan, and my infant, Ahmed.”

Photographers posted videos on social media platforms showing a person carrying the infant and commented, “This infant stayed with his father, and in the end Iyad and his family departed.”

As the news of the martyrdom of journalist Iyad Al-Rawag spread, social media platforms witnessed a state of anger and sadness, and tweeters said that the Israeli occupation decided to shorten the suffering of Iyad and his infant child with the push of a button from a military pilot, a bomb weighing a ton of gunpowder, and death, according to their comment.

Some observers commented on the news of the martyrdom of Al-Rawagh, his infant, and a number of his family members, saying that Iyad’s story tells part of an endless pain for the people of Gaza in light of the continuing war of extermination that Israel is waging against the people of the Gaza Strip.

Days after this appeal, “Israel” killed journalist Iyad Al-Rawag, his infant child, and 10 members of his family by direct bombing of their home in the Nuseirat camp in the central #Gaza Strip.

Others pointed out that the Israeli occupation forces continue to target Palestinian journalists and their families as part of the crime of genocide it is committing against civilians in Gaza, the most recent of whom was Iyad, his infant, and a number of his family members.

My friend and fellow journalist, Iyad Al-Rawag, had his son injured and left for treatment with his mother, leaving her infant in need of care. Iyad was suffering with the infant, who cried day and night, pleading for the embrace of his absent mother.

A short while ago, the occupation sent missiles to make the baby stop crying for his mother, and his father, Iyad, and 14 family members left with him.
