A fake image of popular American singer Taylor Swift that appears to have been generated using AI has been spreading on social networking sites such as the old Twitter account X, and social media companies are busy taking action, including hastening its deletion.

According to multiple media outlets, including the leading American newspaper, The New York Times, a fake image of popular American singer Taylor Swift has been spread on the old Twitter account X.

The images appear to have been created using a technology called ``deepfakes,'' which utilizes generative AI to create fake images and videos that are so sophisticated that they are indistinguishable from the real thing.

Some of the fake sexual images were posted, and some were viewed approximately 47 million times.

In response to the incident, a White House spokesperson said on the 26th, ``This is alarming. Social media companies are enforcing rules to prevent the spread of false information and sexual images of real people without their consent.'' The ripples were spreading.

Under these circumstances, X took measures such as deleting the fake images and suspending the account that posted them, and as of the afternoon of the 29th, Japan time, it is no longer possible to search for Swift's name.

As the development of AI technology accelerates, fake images using "deepfakes" are becoming more sophisticated, and measures are needed to prevent the spread of false information and the misuse of AI technology.
