“Hotels in Russia received 60 million guests in 2023. This was achieved due to the fact that Russian hotels added 122 thousand additional rooms this year. The number of flights on tourist routes has also increased,” Turpomosch told RT.
The association also clarified that the total outbound tourist flow from Russia increased by 25% compared to 2022. And the number of trips to Southeast Asia is five times.
“International trends have moved forward quite powerfully. If in the spring of 2022, compared to the pre-pandemic period, there were only 3 direct international air routes, today there are 41 of them, and this, of course, is not the finish line,” the association emphasized.
An earlier study showed that the total number of bookings at Russian hotels and inns for February increased by 25%.
