Legislation prohibits trespassing on land where the Mnemosyne butterfly is found, and the County Administrative Board now requires an in-depth inventory and historical mapping of the butterfly's presence in the Torsboda area.

- At present, the Mnemosyne butterfly does not directly affect the establishment, but behind the county administrative board, a consultation process is underway where questions have emerged that the company needs to investigate, says Daniel Yngsell, environmental manager at the County Administrative Board in Västernorrland.

But the fact that the protected butterfly was seen in the area was partly classified by the county board from the beginning. After Sundsvalls Tidning requested a reconsideration of the secrecy, it turned out that several protected species had been found. They also write that the County Administrative Board is now urging PTL to carefully expand the inventory and examine historical data to determine if the mnemosyne butterfly has existed before and, if so, when.

- When the application is submitted to the Land and Environmental Court and the application is to be examined, there must be a sufficient basis of knowledge about the environmental impact statement, says Daniel Yngsell.

The County Administrative Board is now waiting for the application to be sent to the Land and Environment Court.
