Wang Yi said that this year marks the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China and is a year for the Chinese people to celebrate. This year is also the birthday of the King of Thailand and it is a year for the Thai people to celebrate. He is very happy to be invited to visit Thailand at the beginning of the new year. Today, I held annual consultations with Foreign Minister Banby and reached important consensus on deepening the construction of a community with a shared future between China and Thailand. The two sides also signed a mutual visa exemption agreement, which will make personnel exchanges more convenient. As a close family, China and Thailand will become closer as we get closer.
Wang Yi said that the Thai royal family has always attached great importance to China-Thailand friendship and looks forward to the Thai royal family making new contributions to the development of China-Thailand friendship under the new situation. The princess is a good friend and old friend of the Chinese people. She has been awarded the "Medal of Friendship" and has visited China more than 50 times. She has played a leading role in deepening mutual understanding between the people and can be said to be a symbol of China-Thailand friendship. Next year will mark the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Thailand. Sirindhorn said that I cherish my friendship with China and often show students the "Medal of Friendship" awarded by President Xi. He hopes to intensify communication and exchanges with China in various fields and strengthen cooperation in education, traditional medicine, science and technology, aerospace and other aspects.
