“The Housing Code contains a provision on providing large families with a plot of land, but it is stated that regions have the right to introduce their own additional requirements, and, unfortunately, many regions introduce so-called need criteria,” Nilov explained.

In his opinion, it is absolutely wrong to assume that “if a person does not need to improve their living conditions, then the family is not allocated land.”

“Accordingly, the government’s conclusion has been requested, as required by current legislation, and after receiving the conclusion, the law will be submitted to the State Duma,” said RT’s interlocutor.

Earlier, Nilov said that he had sent a draft law to the government for approval on the possibility of obtaining a plot of land or monetary compensation for families with three children.
