- During five years, I have learned a lot about Peter's world. What shaped him and what drove him to kill. It is dark and heavy to take in, says John Mork in a press release.

Two unsolved murders in the United States

Peter Mangs is a skilled musician and through a psychologist, who regularly met Mangs in custody, John Mork has been able to hear the song he wrote with the title "Under The Radar". There, Mangs is suspected of hiding clues to two unsolved murders in Florida.

With the help of musicians, John Mork tries to decipher Peter Mang's codes in the text in the series. He also makes a trip in the United States in Mang's footsteps and receives assistance from local investigators.

- If you ask my family, they would say that this investigation has changed me as a person. To get into Peter's head, I've had to deal with my own dark sides and it's not easy, says John Mork.

Life for two murders

Peter Mangs was sentenced in the district court in 2012 to life for two murders and four attempted murders, and the Court of Appeal upheld the sentence the following year. At the same time, there have been suspicions that he was involved in further crimes.

SVT Nyheter has contacted Peter Mangs for a comment.

"Peter Mangs - a serial killer's secret" premieres on February 1 on Viaplay and TV3.
