In the Mogi faction, election committee chairman Obuchi and former Chief Cabinet Secretary Mikio Aoki, the eldest son of House of Councilors member Kazuhiko Aoki, have resigned, and three other House of Councilors leaders, including House of Councilors Chairman Sekiguchi, have also announced their intention to resign.



Regarding the future shape of the faction, Secretary-General Motegi, who serves as the chairman, stated, ``We will dissolve it as a so-called ``faction'' and completely break away from money and personnel matters.In other words, we will break away from it into a new policy group.''



Mr. Motegi is considering reviewing the content of his activities in line with the interim report of the party's "Political Reform Headquarters" and clarifying its position as a policy group, and announced this at a meeting of members of both houses of the House of Representatives on the 30th. However, at a meeting held on the 29th by members of the House of Councillors, some said that ``the faction should be disbanded in order to gain the understanding of the people,'' and it is expected that gathering opinions will be difficult. .
