This statement was made in an interview with TASS by the special representative of the Russian President for the Syrian settlement, Alexander Lavrentyev.
At the same time, he clarified that the main source of terrorist activity is currently located in the 55-km zone of At-Tanf controlled by Washington.
There, according to the agency, the Er-Rukban camp for temporarily displaced persons is located.
Lavrentyev emphasized that the Americans “stubbornly” do not want to disband this camp under the pretext of “protection.”
“Supposedly there are civilians there,” added the special representative of the president.
Earlier, Lavrentyev said that there is currently no dialogue between Russia and the United States on Syria.
Also, according to him, contacts between the intelligence services of Russia, Turkey, Iran and Syria continue.
