The material says that a document was signed in St. Petersburg on deepening strategic cooperation in the field of the use of nuclear energy for peaceful purposes between the Russian and Belarusian governments.

The memorandum was signed by the Chairman of the State Committee for Science and Technology of Belarus Sergei Shlychkov and the General Director of Rosatom Alexei Likhachev.

In addition, Russian and Belarusian leaders Vladimir Putin and Alexander Lukashenko signed a decree on the scientific and technological development of the Union State until 2035.

They also signed a decree on the implementation of a unified industrial policy.
